Description and Application

SUPREME CORD RELAY is a non-electric, surface delayed capsule relay used in open pit blasting with SOLAR CORD to provide delay between holes and rows. SUPREME CORD RELAY can be used anywhere along the SOLAR CORD line.

Usage Recommendations

SUPREME CORD RELAY consists of two delay elements housed in a plastic component. There are holes at both ends to attach the SOLAR CORD. SUPREME CORD RELAY, with different delay intervals, is made of natural white plastic components. It has different color codes based on the delay times, and the delays are 17, 25, 42, and 67 milliseconds. The cut ends of the SOLAR CORD should be clean. For delay accuracy, it must be connected close to the drilling hole. In sequential blasting, care should be taken to ensure the two rows are parallel to each other.

Storage

Explosives must be stored in accordance with the “Regulation on the Procedure and Principles Regarding Explosives and Similar Materials Released Outside the Monopoly” under decision no. 87/12028. For best results, store in a well-ventilated, approved explosive material storage facility under moderate temperatures and dry conditions. If stored in a cool, dry, well-ventilated explosive storage facility, the shelf life of SUPREME CORD RELAY is 2 years from the production date. However, exposure to extreme hot or cold weather conditions may cause early deterioration of the product.
